Taylee Glen is home to Brooke and Bailey Badger and all their forest friends. The Badgers' Bouncy Buns tells the story of Brooke and Bailey, who after seeing so many town-folk experiencing the joy of making some bouncy buns, decide that they will bake some of their own. Unfortunately things don’t go as planned. Join them as they seek the help of their friends and neighbors to bring their dreams to life.
Through this story children will have the opportunity to learn how the love and selflessness of others may have played a part in how they came to be. Parents will appreciate the different ways that this tale can facilitate special conversations that will help them guide a child into fully understanding the unique circumstances that brought them into this world.
For parents who have made the decision to grow their families using donor eggs, sperm, embryos, or gestational carrier, this will be a welcome tool that they can use to begin to have those meaningful conversations with their children at the right time, and in the right ways that they may choose. This story is purposefully written as an allegory, so for the child hearing this rhyme it is just a wonderful tale of friends and neighbors helping and sharing with one another. Just below the surface lay secondary meanings that are obviously clear to the parent. In this way this book puts you in control of just how deep and how much detail you want to explain to your child, but giving them simple concepts they can grasp and understand.
